Is this real-time production data?
No. The dashboard operates on illustrative data, constructed to closely reflect FCI's actual figures, documents and workflows. The screens, logic and decision flows are functional; the underlying data is for demonstration only.
How long would a production deployment take?
This depends on the pace of integration access. Dashboards, roles and case management are demonstration-ready today. The determining factor is how quickly access is granted to the GPS provider and weighbridge or storage records — see the capability document for a system-by-system breakdown.
Who authorises action on an AI-recommended decision?
A designated officer, in every instance. The decision engine surfaces a recommendation together with its supporting evidence and the alternatives considered — it does not act independently. Every action shown in the demonstration requires officer sign-off.
Where would the data reside — cloud, on-premises, or government infrastructure?
This is a deployment decision, not a platform constraint. The system can be hosted on Corporation or NIC infrastructure where data residency requirements apply.
How does weight and bag reconciliation function at the depot?
The depot supervisor records received weight and bag count against the manifest at the point of receipt, together with a seal-intact check. Variance beyond a set threshold is flagged immediately; recurring variance on a given route or with a given counterparty is surfaced as a pattern under Leakage Detection.
Can the four roles (District Officer, Logistics Manager, Depot Supervisor, Vigilance Inspector) be mapped to FCI's actual designations?
Yes. Roles, permissions and dashboard content can be configured to match FCI's organisational structure and reporting lines.
How does a "leakage pattern" differ from a single flagged shipment?
A single flagged shipment is one recorded event. A pattern — for example, systematic weight variance — is the recurrence of the same anomaly across a number of shipments on one route or with one counterparty, surfaced with a confidence level and an estimated ₹ impact, allowing it to be investigated as a single case rather than treated in isolation.
What does a Vigilance Inspector case file contain?
The flagged pattern or event, the supporting evidence (GPS trail, weight logs, timestamps), investigation notes, and the recorded outcome — closed, FIR filed, or amount recovered — providing a complete record should a case proceed to enforcement.
Does this require new hardware on trucks or at depots?
No new hardware is required for GPS tracking, which relies on existing AIS-140 feeds. Panic-button and IoT seal sensors are optional additions where such hardware is not already deployed.
